بدأت المواجهة بين الرئيس التونسي قيس سعيّد والاتحاد العام التونسي للشغل عقب مظاهرة شهدتها العاصمة تونس في السابع من غشت، حيث رُفعت شعارات تتهم قادة الاتحاد بـ”الفساد”. جاءت هذه المظاهرة بعد تصريحات سعيّد التي عبّر فيها عن استيائه من إضراب لقطاع النقل استمر لثلاثة أيام، والذي نفذه الاتحاد. ومن جانبها، وصفت قيادة الاتحاد المتظاهرين بأنهم “أنصار سعيّد”، مشيرةً إلى أنهم حاولوا “اقتحام” مقر الاتحاد. تتزايد المخاوف من تصعيد محتمل بين الطرفين، مما قد يؤثر على الاستقرار الاجتماعي والاقتصادي في البلاد.
